
Manufacturing Program Manager – Victoria
The Manufacturing Program Manager is responsible for leading the strategic planning and execution of product commercialization and ongoing post-transfer support for our clients. This role requires overseeing product performance, cost control, and timelines to provide an exceptional and seamless customer experience for various StarFish clients. The ability to foster and build relationships, actively listen, solicit critical information, and respond to technical engineering requirements and client feedback is essential to the position’s success.
The role holder will collaborate cross-functionally to align engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain efforts with client expectations, ensuring timely product launches, cost-reduction activities, and the transition to high-volume production. The Manufacturing Program Manager will motivate diverse, cross-functional teams in a creative and collaborative environment.
This position reports directly to the Director of Program Management and with a dotted reporting line to the Director of Manufacturing.

Salary & Benefits
The annual base salary for this role is listed below.
Location
Victoria, British Columbia.
Base salary range is between
$107,451.80 – $134,314.75 CAD. Annual variable compensation is tied to the goal completion target of 5-10% of the base salary. Employees are also eligible to earn profit sharing. Candidates with strong abilities may be considered for a different position with increased compensation.

What You’ll Be Doing
Client Management
- Build and maintain strong trust-first client relationships to understand their strategic goals and align activities with their success.
- Provide proactive updates on timelines, costs, risks, and resolutions.
- Establish a deep understanding of the client’s strategic direction and work to align and support all activities required for our client’s success.
- Ensure overall client satisfaction by ensuring the client experience meets or exceeds StarFish standards.
Program Leadership
- Champion strategic department initiatives to embed goals across team activities.
- Coach and mentor team members to enhance performance and collaboration.
- Lead the design transfer process, ensuring an efficient transition from development to production.
- Deep understanding and in control of the product roadmap for projects supported, articulating the value of the work being performed and how it pertains to the commercialization objectives.
Operational Excellence
- Develop and implement cost models and value-added service offerings.
- Oversee product roadmaps and drive cost-reduction strategies to align with client needs.
- Support sustaining engineering efforts, including design changes and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and the company’s Quality Management System.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the liaison between manufacturing, product development, and supply chain teams.
- Partner with the supply chain to strengthen vendor capabilities and establish strategic plans.
- Collaborate with New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to ensure resources and processes are in place for successful project execution.
Project Health
- Monitor and report on project KPIs, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies. This includes communication across the internal StarFish organization and externally to various customer stakeholders.
- Oversee internal financial processes related to client projects.
- Manage the production schedule, ensuring timelines and budgets are consistently met.
- Drive manufacturing transfer activities to meet commercialization milestones, utilizing resources from other Starfish departments.

You are suited to our approach and possess these attributes:
- 10+ years of experience in product management, project engineering, or similar roles with full product lifecycle ownership.
- A degree in Business Management, Engineering, or related fields (equivalent experience considered).
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with a client-centric approach.
- Proven strategic planning, cost management, and cross-functional team leadership expertise.
- Experience working within ISO-compliant environments and following Quality Management Systems.
- Strong problem-solving ability and adaptability in dynamic situations.
