What’s on our bucket list

Bucket ListDid you ever wonder what your co-workers aspire to do during their lifetime? Here are bucket list answers from StarFish employees that may give you a feel for what it’s like to work for, or with, us. They may even inspire your summer vacation.

Run another 100 miles race. Why another? Because I’ve gotten out of shape and I’d like to get back into shape. And it’s a marker for being in shape.

Do a triathlon. Why? Because I can’t swim. I can ride a bike and run, but I can’t swim.

One woman gallery show. Abstract figurative nudes. Acrylic and collage.

I would like to climb a mountain over eight thousand meters. Why over eight thousand meters?  Because there are only fourteen of them. Which one? The easiest one is Everest. There’s a rope you can grab onto to pull up on. Yeah all of that’s there. Plus everyone is there.  They’ve got 90 year climbers. It’s got one of the lowest death rates of 8000 metres. 4 percent.

I want to swim with whale sharks. And see an octopus. Seeing an octopus is easier. Yeah. Why do that? I like diving and I haven’t dived with a whale shark.

It’s not particularly momentous but I would like to end up in band in the near future where we were playing out again rather than just constantly practising. I play the drums. Rock mostly. Mostly covers because when you’re forming a group it’s a place to help everyone play well.

I’d like to see Angor Wat. Because those structures are tremendously interesting and beautiful.

I would like to get my private pilot license and get it to use a lot to explore new places.

I would love to eventually own a farm, and live a more self-sufficient, sustainable lifestyle – there is something so gratifying about being able to grow your own food.

An international culinary tour, you know how some people travel to shop, or tan? I want to travel to eat.

I want to qualify for the Boston Marathon one day. I think it would be awesome to be alongside so many runners that are passionate about what they do all in one place.

I’d like to go on a road trip in a convertible Aston Martin Vanquish S in the Italian Alps with either Daniel Craig or Tom Hardy.  Their respective partners could travel behind us in a rental car with my husband.  I’d like to do this because who wouldn’t want to go on a road trip with the current 007, or the lovely individual whom I believe should be the next 007.  Oh wait, this is more of a probably more of a dream than a bucket list item, lol. 😉

Cage dive with Great White shark. Why? Sharks are awesome and powerful creatures – among the earth’s oldest lifeforms, appearing on the planet even before the dinosaurs…. who wouldn’t want to experience that close-up?!

My bucket list isn’t to travel or try daring adventures, mine is pretty simple. To retire young enough to enjoy it and spend quality time with my family 🙂

Go on a multi-month hike, such as the Pacific Crest Trail. The why is simple: it’s a whole different state of mind. Your body is tired but your mind is relaxed. There no other feeling quite like it.

I want to scuba dive with whale sharks and giant rays before I die. Scuba diving changed my perspective on life and the world when I saw the beautiful giant sea turtles and fish in Borneo.

I would like to travel by train for some reason across Canada and also tour the Caribbean Islands.

It would be cool to reach millionaire status but I would be happy without it.

Hug a grandchild.

Whatever is on your bucket list, we wish you success.  Send it in a comment if you’d like to share it with others.

I’m a grandchild and available for hugs 🙂

  2. I want to have acres of farm lands, plant lots of corn and vegetables. Built massive green house for vertical farming, drive a huge farm tractor and own horses.

Nigel, only if you give gluten free hugs! 🙂
