Twenty-two StarFish Medical and ViVitro Labs employees participated in the Greater Victoria 2019 Bike to Work Week May 27 – June 2. They were guided by team captain, Joe McMahen. The StarFish Medical and ViVitro Labs team joined 6297 riders and 1671 teams including 1079 New Riders. Overall, 298,138 Kilometers were biked, 8,944,150 calories burned, and 64,637 Kilograms of greenhouse gasses were saved by the 25,077 bike trips. Celebrating their achievement were prizes in three categories:
- First time rider prize – Kelsey Kalk!
- Persistent & consistent prize – A rider who logged trips for all 5 days –Brian King!
- High mileage prize – Vladimir Valastiak, with an impressive total of 175.1km.
