VICTORIA, B.C., May 27, 2015— Charles Garcia has joined StarFish Medical as Vice President, Business Development. Garcia reports directly to CEO, Scott Phillips, and is part of the StarFish Medical Leadership Team.
As Vice President, Business Development, Garcia is responsible for all aspects of StarFish Medical sales including Medical Device Design and Engineering Services, Quality Management System (QMS) Solutions and low to moderate volume finished Manufacturing Services.

Broad and Deep Medical Device Experience:
Former President of the Twin Cities Professional Chapter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, Mr. Garcia has held sales, marketing, and engineering positions at multiple companies focused on medical electronic, mechanical and software devices, including Chandler Industries/MicroGroup, Byers Peak and Baxter Hospital Supply / Edwards Critical-Care divisions.
A Track Record of Growth:
While a business development manager at Minnetronix, the company more than doubled in a 2.5 year period. Colorado MEDtech grew from $18 million to $75 million, personnel grew from 80 people to over 500, and company stock increased from $2/share to $25/share during Garcia’s tenure.
Charles Garcia earned his B.S. in Electronics Engineering Technology at California Polytechnic State University—San Luis Obispo. A proud father of two, he enjoys music, basketball, fly-fishing and is an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
