VICTORIA, B.C., May 23, 2017— StarFish Medical, Canada’s largest full service Medical Device Design company, announced today the addition of award winning designer, entrepreneur and leadership facilitator, Dan Buchner, to its business advisory board.
Buchner’s accomplishments include extensive new product development experience as Vice President of Innovation and Design at Design Continuum Inc. Previously he was Vice President Innovation and Design at Moen Inc., where he designed successful consumer products that won 11 design awards resulting in him being recognized as Innovator of the Year by the Economic Development Institute.

Founder and principal of ‘praktikel, Buchner brings an impressive history of shifting thinking, transforming perspectives, and inspiring action. His leadership experience includes Vice President of Leadership at the Banff Centre and Director of Innovation at the world-renowned Center for Creative Leadership, where he designed and delivering custom Innovation Leadership programs for organizations such as Baxter Healthcare, Eaton Corporation, McDonalds, General Motors and Robert Woods Johnson Foundation.
The StarFish Advisory Board was formed in 2001 and is comprised of executive leaders from a variety of business backgrounds including GE Medical, Mercedes, Sanmina, Philips Medical, Tomey and Biorad. The Board lends its collective expertise to further the goals and objectives of the StarFish Medical leadership team, ensuring that the company draws from a wide scope of experience, skill, and knowledge.
