The award is determined by the LifeSciences BC board of directors and acknowledges the outstanding contributions of corporations that significantly impacted the British Columbia life sciences sector in 2017. Peter Payne, Entrepreneur in Residence at the BC Innovation Council, presented the LSBC Strategic Life Sciences Partner of the Year award to John Walmsley, Chief Operating Officer of StarFish Medical.
Walmsley accepted the award noting “StarFish has been pleased to have been a partner to the members of the LSBC community for close to 20 years. We are grateful for the recognition of the community building that we have been doing with LSBC in Medtech”.
Scott Phillips, CEO and Founder of StarFish Medical reacted to earlier news of the LSBC Strategic Life Sciences Partner of the Year award: “We’re delighted to win and be recognized in this category. The 2018 LifeSciences BC award annual dinner was presented by FARRIS, and held on April 19, 2018 at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
