StarFish Medical case study

CPA Canada‘s Corporate Oversight and Governance Board published Small Company Boards: Questions for Potential Advisors and Directors by Douglas Enns, FCPA, FCA, C. DIR, in August 2016.  The eBook is directed at members deciding whether to join the board of directors for a small organization with essential guidance as they consider and step into the new role. It contains a practical discussion as well as illustrative case studies that show how small companies have used and adapted corporate governance practices. The eBook includes a StarFish Medical case study discussing the use of an advisory board.

The case study concludes: “By matching the skills and backgrounds of its advisory board members with their role within the company’s business model, Starfish has ensured there is sufficient input and oversight to keep the company on track”.
