Victoria BC—August 29, 2014—StarFish Medical, a Profit 500 medical device design company, today announced it has joined Biocom as a Contract Research Organization (CRO) member. Biocom is a regional life science association representing more than 600 medical device, diagnostic, mHealth, biotech, pharmaceutical companies and CROs throughout Southern California.
“Biocom is happy that Starfish Medical has decided to join Biocom,” said Joseph D. Panetta, President & CEO, Biocom Board of Directors. Biocom’s CRO Initiative fosters the creation of an outsourcing community while identifying ways to connect local companies to this expanding network. Through a series of events that educate local industry companies about the vast array of services that CROs/CMOs have to offer, Biocom also identifies ways to connect member companies to this expanding network.
“We’re looking forward to working more closely with Biocom members and participating in the Digital Health and CRO Committees,” noted Scott Phillips, President of StarFish Medical. “We’ve previously spoken and exhibited at Biocom’s DeviceFest events and Biocom is home to several clients and advisors. As committee members in key initiatives, we hope to increase our contribution to the Biocom community.”
