Novadaq

StarFish Contribution

Novadaq engaged StarFish Medical to design, prototype and develop the mechanical system for their first product, the SPY3000 imaging system. Stage 1 was to prototype 4 complete
cart assemblies and deliver them to Novadaq by the end of the first week of December 2010. Approximately 500 units were manufactured and delivered through May 2012.

$100M Valuation

Novadaq grew to 72 employees and estimated $97M in revenue before being acquired by Stryker Corporation in 2017 for $701M (USD) which made the sale the largest medical device company sale in Canada to date. The SPY imaging system is now part of the Stryker Fluorescence technology product portfolio.
