Hardware to Intelligence: Building a Reimbursement Strategy for Intelligent Medical Devices

When:
Time:

Every mature industry eventually moves from hardware to intelligence. Cars did. Aircraft did. Finance did. Bill Hunter believes healthcare is next, and reimbursement will decide how fast it gets there.

In this MedTech Unscripted, Hardware to Intelligence: Building a Reimbursement Strategy for Intelligent Medical Devices, Scott Phillips, CEO of StarFish Medical, sits down with Dr. Bill Hunter, MD, Founding Member, CEO and CMO of Canary Medical, and pioneer of the Persona IQ smart knee implant. Together they explore how a device like it turns a one-time implant into a continuous source of patient data, and why getting paid for that data is a different problem than getting paid for the implant itself.

Drawing on more than 30 years as a physician, inventor, and serial medtech entrepreneur, Bill will share candid insights on what it takes to build a reimbursement strategy that keeps pace with intelligent medical devices, including the inflection points, missteps, and trade-offs along the way.

We will also host a live audience Q&A, giving you the opportunity to ask your own questions about navigating regulatory and reimbursement complexity in MedTech.
