Tom Afzal is an experienced Chief Executive Officer, President, Company Founder and Board Member with a demonstrated history of general management with P&L responsibility in the medical device industry. Strategic minded and results oriented in building high-performance organizations in US and International markets with a global perspective and understanding of business strategy and implementation, product innovation, strategic and financial planning, raising capital, regulatory and clinical management. Expertise in US and International commercialization and market development. Established International subsidiaries in multiple countries as well as Distributor partnerships in over 25 international markets as well as in the US. Raised venture capital and debt financing for numerous companies. Completed numerous licensing and technology partnering agreements with University’s and private companies in the US and internationally. Established either direct or contract operations/manufacturing in US, Germany and Switzerland and Joint Venture in Brazil. Named on over 35 patents as an inventor. Fluent in German. Graduated with B.S. in Business from San Diego State University.
